When I was in my mid 20’s, I was living in Los Angeles; I had a great job with a future. One day I decided to quit and do something else. What it was, I was not sure, but it was time for me to go.
Fast forward a few years… I was playing music in bands but was not getting anywhere doing this. So, I decided I would get a degree in music. I worked a full-time job at night and went to school all day.
One thing led to another, and thirteen years later, I had three degrees in a field that had 99 percent unemployment. However, somehow, I got lucky. I mean, really lucky and landed a job through word of mouth. You could say I was standing in the right place at the right time.
So, here I am seventeen years later, teaching at a University. I always felt that I was blessed having this job, and I still do. I’m in my late 50’s, and I would like to retire sooner than later, but I don’t think that I can afford to retire.
Again, in my life, I need to change something. I want to retire and take care of my loved ones and live comfortably. I changed my mindset… I lost weight, earned my black belt, and brought my glucose levels down.
I decided that the blame for shortfalls is mine, and mine alone. I no longer think thoughts like… if only this happened or if someone else only… etc. I don’t think about the “what ifs” and am thinking about how “I” am going to improve my situation.
· I no longer go home and watch three hours of old Youtube movies.
· I no longer surf the web aimlessly.
· I no longer complain of my terrible predicament to anyone.
When I get home from school, I focus on the affiliate marketing business that I have created. I will not tell you that I am an expert earner or have been doing this for a decade because it is not true. I am slowly building this up, so it will help to replace my present job when I retire.
Covid19 came along and screwed up my life. The University went to online teaching that takes three times longer to do my job than in the classroom.
I used to leave school and have another life at home; now, my entire life at home was school. Online teaching slowed down my progress with my marketing business.
I started racking up bills that I could not pay with all the business subscriptions that I had going on, and I paused everything.
This pause allowed me to reevaluate my situation. It turned out to be a good thing...
I discovered GrooveFunnels that gave me a free for life account that would allow me to build web pages and funnels. Then I stumbled upon SAS Affiliate. SAS Affiliate and GroovePages have taught me about SEO, ranking on google, and free traffic.
I am praying for Covid19 to subside, and looking forward to my life returning to some sort of "Normality".
